AT THE DISH: Elehuris Montero picked up Albuquerque's only RBI of the night with a double in the first inning ... Greg Bird had two hits ... Joshua Fuentes and Brian Serven doubled.

TOEING THE RUBBER: Frank Duncan (5-3, 4.19) started his outing with four scoreless innings but surrendered a two-run homer to Jeremy Pena in the fifth as Sugar Land went in front ... Duncan was lifted after 4.2 frames of six-hit, two-run ball with two walks and three strikeouts ... The Skeeters broke the game open when Norel Gonzalez blasted a three-run shot off Reagan Todd in the sixth ... Chad Smith and Brian Gonzalez each gave up a run before Nelson Gonzalez tossed a scoreless eighth.

TOPES TIDBITS: Each team used six pitchers ... Albuquerque has dropped the first three games of a series for the fourth time this year (vs. Sugar Land, at El Paso, at Reno, at Sugar Land) ...
