
Albany River Rats sign RW Kirk MacDonald to ATO

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats today announced they have signed right wing Kirk MacDonald to an amateur tryout contract.
MacDonald, 23, had a team-high 12 goals and tied for the club lead in scoring with 27 points in 33 games this season at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute after missing all of last season battling testicular cancer. He had 47 goals and 56 assists in 137 career games for RPI.
The River Rats, who have won four of their last five games, begin a three-game road trip tonight at Worcester at 7 p.m. at the DCU Center. Games Friday at Hamilton and Saturday in Syracuse completes the trip.
