Chicago Wolves News Release

Chicago Wolves right wing and Colorado College graduate, JOEY CRABB, and left wing JORDAN LaVALLEE will round out the 11th year of the team's "Read to Succeed" program, sponsored by Fisher Nuts and College Illinois!, with library visits on Tue., March 27. Members of the team have visited more than 30 Chicago-area libraries this year as part of the program, which has reached nearly 400,000 children in 10 seasons.

The appearances are scheduled for:

Tue., March 27: Joey Crabb Eisenhower Library 4652 N Olcott Ave. in Harwood Heights 4:30 p.m.

Jordan LaVallee Elk Grove Library 1001 Wellington Ave. 7:00 p.m.

The Wolves rookies will discuss the role reading plays in their lives as professional athletes and reinforce the importance of recreational reading, as well as highlight the resources that libraries have to offer. The players will also dress a child in hockey gear, raffle Wolves prizes and sign autographs.

The "Read to Succeed" program encourages children to spend more time at the library and to read for fun. Every participant in the program sets an individual reading goal and has the opportunity to win prizes including Wolves notebooks, "Read to Succeed" hats and tickets to Wolves home games for achieving their reading goals.

Each year, the Wolves reach more than 30,000 children through "Read to Succeed" and the DuPage, North Suburban and Metropolitan Library Systems.
