Akron Aeros Outfielder Tim Fedroff Named Eastern League Player of the Week

AKRON, OH - The Eastern League today announced that Aeros outfielder Tim Fedroff was named Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of May 16-22.

The 24 year old Flagtown, New Jersey native played in all seven Aeros games last week going 14-for-24 (.583) with two doubles, one triple, five RBI, eight runs scored, two stolen bases, four walks and a .750 slugging percentage. Fedroff led all Eastern League players in batting average (.583), hits (14), runs scored (8), total bases (18), on-base percentage (.643) and OPS (1.393) last week.

Fedroff also had four multi-hit games during the week and extended his hitting streak to 16 games, which is the second longest streak in the Eastern League this season. During the streak, Fedroff is hitting .492 (30-for-61) with 13 RBI and 11 runs scored.

The 5'11, 220 lb. outfielder is also hitting a league-best .437 during the month of May with 14 RBI and 11 runs scored.

In 39 games in 2011, Fedroff leads the Eastern League in batting (.376), is tied for second in hits (53) and is tied for third in on-base percentage (.423).
