AirHogs Drop Opener in Sioux City

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - The Texas AirHogs dropped their series opener in Sioux City Friday by a final of 10-3.
Despite playing with a seriously limited roster following travel delays, the AirHogs took an early lead in the first when Stewart Ijames went deep for the first time this season. The X's responded with five straight runs though to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Newcomer Correlle Prime finished with a run scored after joining the team off the Frisco RoughRiders roster. Ijames carded two RBIs, while Lu Zhenhong added one.
Sun Jianzeng (0-1) got the start for Texas and took the loss after going five innings and allowing ten hits and seven runs (seven earned). Sioux City starter James Dykstra (4-0) got the win after going six frames and holding the AirHogs to three runs (three earned) on five hits.
The Explorers were led by Michael Lang, who finished with three hits. Five different X's finished with multiple hits.
Texas (3-16) and Sioux City (17-4) meet again tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. RHP Miguel Rosario (0-2, 3.77 ERA) is slated to start for the AirHogs. RHP Taylor Jordan (3-0, 3.70 ERA) is expected to start for the X's.
