GRAND PRAIRIE, TX- The Wichita Wingnuts (28-18) lost 7-4 to the Grand Prairie AirHogs (26-18) at QuikTrip Park on Thursday night.

Grand Prairie scored three runs in the bottom of the first to take an early lead. Ryan Pineda, Brandon Pinckney, and Brian Myrow hit consecutive singles to load the bases with no outs. Juan Richardson singled on a high bouncer to left field to score Pineda and Pinckney. Myrow scored on a sacrifice fly to center from Kenny Held.

Abel Nieves hit a two-out solo home run to right in the top of the second to get Wichita on the board. Ryan Khoury added a two-out solo blast to left field in the third to pull the Wingnuts within one run.

With two outs and no one on base in the bottom of the third, an Angel Flores single and back-to-back walks to Rian Kiniry and Micah Gibbs loaded the bases. Yasutsugu Nishimoto lined a single to short center field to drive in two runs and extend Grand Prairie's lead to 5-2.

Richardson singled home Myrow in the fourth while Myrow hit an RBI single in the sixth to account for the AirHogs' final runs.

The Wingnuts added two in the top of the ninth inning on a Colt Loehrs two-run homer to left-center.

Anthony Capra started and took the loss for Wichita, allowing six earned runs on eight hits in five and one-third innings. Capra walked four and struck out three.

AirHogs' starter Brandon Bargas picked up the win, allowing two earned runs on six hits in six innings. Bargas walked none and struck out two.

Nick Walters struck out the side in a scoreless bottom of the seventh. Josh Stone worked a perfect bottom of the eighth. Khoury, Loehrs, and Brent Clevlen each finished with two hits for Wichita.
