Ahart Promoted to Great Lakes

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Friday that outfielder Devan Ahart was promoted from the Ogden Raptors to the Great Lakes Loons of the Midwest League.

Ahart had posted a .358 batting average, the sixth-best in the Pioneer League. He also ranked in the top five in stolen bases (third, 16), hits (fourth, 68), runs scored (third, 40) and fewest strikeouts per plate appearance (second, 11.56).

Replacing Ahart on the Raptors' roster is outfielder Jacob Scavuzzo. Scavuzzo started the season with the Great Lakes Loons and was hitting .209 with five home runs and 35 RBI in 108 games. Scavuzzo played for the Raptors last season. He led the Pioneer League in home runs (14), second in extra-base hits (35) and third in slugging percentage (.578) and total bases (141).

The Raptors start a four-game series with the Helena Brewers on Friday. Game starts at 7:05 and can be heard on 97.5 The Zone.
