Aguila Named MWL Player of the Week

South Bend Silver Hawks News Release
The Midwest League announced Monday that Silver Hawks catcher Roidany Aguila has been named the Midwest League player of the week. From July 30 to August 5, Aguila hit .471 (8-for-17) with three home runs and seven RBIs.
This season with South Bend, Aguila is hitting .229 in 78 games. Aguila was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 18th round of the 2009 draft and is in his first season with the Silver Hawks.
On Saturday against the Lake County Captains, Aguila laced a pinch-hit, two-run home run in the ninth inning, lifting the Silver Hawks to a 7-6 win.
Aguila is the first Silver Hawks player to garner weekly league honors since Ender Inciarte won the same award on April 23.
