Milwaukee Admirals News Release

TONY BITETTO... Admirals defenseman Tony Bitetto is off to a quick start on the offensive end of ice, leading the Admirals thus far with eight points and tied for the team lead with four goals. The Island Park, NY native is currently riding a four-game point streak (2g-3a) and has at least a point in six of the team's eight games this year. Bitetto recorded his first career game-winning goal last Friday night against Rockford and netted his first career two-goal effort in a 3-2 win over Grand Rapids on October 18th. The Northeastern University alum now has more points through eight games than he did in 34 contests as a rookie with Milwaukee last season (1g-5a).

GOING STREAKING...The Admirals have earned at least a point in each of their first eight games this season and, dating back to last season, they have a point in 12 consecutive contests. It's the best start in a campaign for Milwaukee since they had an 11-game point streak back in 2002-03 on a 6-0-1-4 (W-L-OTL-T) record. The most consecutive victories to start a season is five, back in 1988-89 when they began the year with a 10-1 mark. What's more, in their past 20 regular season games the Admirals have lost just three games in regulation and they have all been at the hands of Rockford.

________________________________

PLAYING WITH A LEAD...During the first six games of the Admirals streak they scored the first goal just one time, one opening night in Abbotsford, and they had led for only 57:23. However, Milwaukee has reversed that trend their last two games, scoring first in wins over Rockford last Friday and Iowa on Sunday. In Friday's game alone, the Admirals led for 48:16 and the total duration in both games was 81:24. However, the victory over the IceHogs is still the only game of the year that they Admirals did not trail.

________________________________

THREE-IN-THREE...The Admirals encounter their first three-in-three of the season when they play against Texas on Friday and Saturday night and then make their first of two trips this season to San Antonio on Sunday afternoon. Milwaukee will play eight three-in-threes this year, down from ten last year. The Ads were originally scheduled for nine of them, but recently moved the game on March 9th, which was the final game of a three-in-three, to January 6th because of a Miley Cyrus concert at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

WELCOME BACK...Admirals defenseman Joonas Jarvinen played his first game of the season on Sunday against Iowa, after missing the first seven games because of injury. Jarvinen, who was +2 with 2 PIMs against the Wild, tied for the team lead with 75 games played last season to go along with 11 points (2g-9a), a +3 rating and 124 penalty minutes. In addition, forward Kevin Henderson is expected to be back in the line-up for Milwaukee this weekend. Henderson has not played since getting hurt on October 18th in Grand Rapids, which was, coincidentally, his 100th career Admirals game. Last year he played in 67 games, scoring 17 goals, good for third on the team, and 12 assists for 29 points and an impressive +13 rating. Henderson also made his NHL debut with Nashville, playing in four games and tallying a goal.
