
Falcons to Host Hometown Heroes Night Friday

Springfield, Mass. - Friday, November 8 at the MassMutual Center, the Springfield Falcons will host Hometown Heroes Night, presented by the University of New Haven. The 7:00 p.m. game versus the Adirondack Phantoms will honor all public safety professionals and military personnel.
The pre-game tribute will feature a patriotic display including two fire trucks hanging a 50-foot American flag along with other first responder vehicles outside the entrance of the MassMutual Center, a presentation of the nation's colors performed by the Veterans of Foreign War Hampden District 7 and a ceremonial puck drop by forensic scientist Dr. Henry C. Lee and Dr. Steven H. Kaplan, President of the University of New Haven.
The game's first intermission spotlights an on-ice staging of Hometown Heroes vehicles, including police cruisers, ambulances and military HUM-Vs. At the second intermission, the team will host a swearing-in ceremony for the United States Air Force Delayed Entry Program.
The night also features a preliminary hockey game between the University of New Haven and Roger Williams University, which will begin at 4:00 p.m. Admission is free of charge with the purchase of a ticket to the Falcons game that night.
Fans are invited to the MassMutual Center in 2013-14 to watch the reigning Northeast Division-champion Falcons compete in their 20th anniversary season. Adult season-ticket packages start as low as $13 per game. To reserve your seats for the 2013-14 season, call (413) 739-GOAL (4625) or visit the team office inside the MassMutual Center from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Support the Falcons throughout the 2013-14 season by wearing red, white and blue at all the home games.
