High Falls Hockey and Labatt Blue Announce New Rochester-Area Pond Hockey Tournaments

(Rochester, NY)... Given the rising interest in outdoor hockey in the Rochester area, High Falls Hockey recently announced two pond hockey tournaments for adult hockey players.

The Labatt Blue Frozen Frontier Pond Hockey Tournament, a three-on-three competition, is slated for Friday, December 20, 2013 from 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. at Frontier Field. Game play will take place on the outdoor rink as part of the 10-day Greater Rochester Area Honda Dealers Frozen Frontier hockey festival.

The tournament consists of four divisions: Open, C+, C- and D, with eight teams per division. Each team is guaranteed three games. Teams interested in participating can visit www.highfallshockey.com and register through December 6, or until divisions are filled. The registration fee is $500 per team. Champions of the Open Division will earn a free spot to compete in the in-demand Labatt Blue Buffalo Pond Hockey Tournament in February 2014.

Competing players will have access to the Rochester Red Wings locker rooms for dressing, along with admission to the Labatt VIP tent. Immediately following tournament play, players and spectators can enjoy live music, Labatt Blue beer specials and giveaways. The event is free and open to the public. Players interested in booking a hotel also will enjoy special pricing at the Rochester Plaza Hotel.

In addition, High Falls Hockey recently announced the dates for the Fifth Annual Labatt Blue Rochester Pond Hockey Tournament. The games will be held January 25-26, 2014 at the Blue Heron Hills Golf Club. Tournament details, including registration and participating teams, are still being finalized.
