Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Rockford, IL--Mark Dekanich stopped 24 shots and Milwaukee scored twice on the power play to eke out a 2-1 win at Rockford Sunday night.
Blake Geoffrion put Milwaukee on the board first with a power play goal at 9:09 of the second period. Roman Josi was pressured at the blue line and flipped a pass to the left circle for Jon Blum. Blum fired a quick pass to Geoffrion who unleashed a one-timer from the right circle past goalie Alec Richards. The goal was Geoffrion's second of the season.
Milwaukee made it 2-0 just 1:27 later. On another power play, Josi carried the puck into the attacking zone on the left wing. He fed Blum at the blue line. Blum's slapshot from the point went over the right arm of Richards for his fourth goal of the season, third on the power play.
The IceHogs got on the board when Shawn Lalonde fired a wrister from the right circle past Dekanich at 13:20 of the second period.
The Admirals outshot the IceHogs 30-25.
