Pitton Recalled from Stockton; Bonk Released from PTO

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League, recalled goaltender Bryan Pitton from the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL, the Barons front office announced today.

Pitton, a 6-2, 190-pounder from Mississiagua, Ontario has played the majority of the season with Stockton in the ECHL. He owns a 7-3-1 record, 3.10 goals against average and .890 saves percentage. He has seen playing time in three games with the Barons, going 1-1-0, with a 3.39 goals against average and .894 saves percentage.

Pitton was recalled due to the departure of goaltender Jeff Deslauriers to play for Team Canada at the upcoming Spengler Cup in Davos, Switzerland.

The Barons are off for the holiday season, but will return to action with a stretch of five games in a six-day stretch. That starts December 28 at home against the Texas Stars at 7:05 p.m.

NOTE: The Barons released forward Dave Bonk from his PTO. Bonk has played in four games with the Barons this season, recording one assist. He will return to the Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League where he 21 points (5-16-21) in 16 games.
