Admirals Sign Two

Milwaukee, WI-Milwaukee Admirals Executive Vice President/General Manager Phil Wittliff announced today that the team had signed forwards Rane Carnegie and Alex Kim to try-out contracts.

Carnegie comes to the Admirals after finishing the season with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The Toronto, ONT native had 44 goals and 52 assists for 96 points and 65 penalty minutes in 63 games for the Mooseheads this season. Carnegie also spent four seasons with the Belleville Bulls of the OHL, posting 109 points in 162 games.

Kim split time this season with the Portland Pirates (AHL) and San Diego Gulls (ECHL). The Fullerton, CA native had 38 points (16g-22a) in 24 games with the Gulls and two points (1g-1a) in three games with the Pirates. Kim played last season for the Rockford IceHogs where he totaled 28 points in 35 games.

The Admirals open the Calder Cup Playoffs Friday night at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center in game one of the Western Division Semi-finals versus the Iowa Stars. The best-of-seven series continues with game two on Saturday night at 7:00 pm, also at the Bradley Center. Games three through five will be in Iowa while, if necessary, games six and seven will return to the Bradley Center.
