
Canadiens recall four from Bulldogs

Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that the club has recalled defenceman Jean-Philippe Cote, goaltender Yann Danis as well as forwards Jonathan Ferland and Andrei Kostitsyn from the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Cote, 23, played 61 games for the Bulldogs in 2005-06, collecting 11 points (3g-8a) and 113 penalty minutes. He ranked third on the team in plus/minus with a rating of +8. The native of Quebec City, Quebec has skated in eight games with the Canadiens this season, going scoreless while recording four penalty minutes.
Danis, 24, appeared in 39 games for Hamilton, posting a record of 17-17-3, with a 2.97 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage. In Hamilton's last game of the season on April 15, Danis earned the win (6-5, vs. the Toronto Marlies) and tied Steve Passmore for most wins all-time by a Bulldogs goaltender with 47. In six games with the Canadiens, the native of Lafontaine, Quebec has earned a record of 3-2-0, with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage.
Ferland, 23, played 39 games for the Bulldogs, collecting 15 points (7g-8a) and 65 penalty minutes. In seven games with Montreal, the native of St. Marie-du-Beauce, Quebec, scored once and had two penalty minutes.
Kostitsyn, 21, was the Bulldogs' second leading scoring, producing 47 points (18g-29a) and 76 penalty minutes in 64 games. The native of Novopolotsk, Belarus has played 12 games for Montreal, recording three points (1g-2a) and two penalty minutes.
