Admirals recall Adam Munro

NORFOLK, VA – Today, the Norfolk Admirals announced they have recalled goaltender Adam Munro from Atlantic City of the ECHL. Munro was recalled due to goaltender Michael Leighton nursing a hamstring injury. Leighton's status is listed as day-to-day.

Munro has appeared in four games with the Boardwalk Bullies this season, posting a record of 1-2 with one shootout loss, a 1.98 GAA and a .938 spct.

Last year, Munro made his AHL debut with the Admirals, appearing in 12 games for Norfolk and posting a record of 5-4-1 with a 2.24 GAA and a .902 spct. He also made his NHL debut with the Chicago Blackhawks, playing in seven games for Chicago and going 1-5-1 with a 3.66 GAA and a .880 spct.

Norfolk begins a six-game road trip with a pair of contests in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this weekend. The Admirals face the Penguins at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, November 6 and again on Sunday, November 7 at 5:05 p.m. Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN Radio 1310 AM, while Sunday's will be on Fox Sports Radio 1050 AM. Both games will also be cybercast through SportsJuice.com.
