
Admirals Come up Empty in Cleveland

Cleveland, OH - Goalie Anton Forsberg stopped 36 shots to lead the Lake Erie Monsters to a 2-0 win over the Admirals Tuesday night.
Forsberg earned his first-ever win against Milwaukee with 27 saves over the final two periods. It was his first shutout of the season.
With the win, Lake Erie leapfrogged Grand Rapids into third place in the Central Division. Milwaukee remains in second place and Rockford is still at the top.
Lake Erie scored a late second period goal to take the lead in the game. Alex Broadhurst and Sonny Milano skated into the Milwaukee zone with just one player defending. Broadhurst's pass from the left circle found Milano for a backhander past Admirals goalie Marek Mazanec with just 22.7 seconds remaining in the second period. It was Milano's seventh goal of the season.
Monsters forward Daniel Zaar scored with a backhander at 19:28 of the third period to seal the victory.
Mazanec stopped 26 shots in the loss for the Ads.
Milwaukee and the Monsters meet again Thursday night in Cleveland. The Admirals return home Sat., Mar. 5 to entertain Chicago at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
