
Heat Sign Orlando Solar Bears Captain Eric Baier

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League, announce the signing of defenseman Eric Baier to a professional tryout contract. Baier will be available for tonight's game against the San Jose Barracuda and will wear #17.
Baier (BUY-er) 27, is having a career year with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears, surpassing his career best in points with 32 while also posting a career best plus-12 rating and even being named the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for October when he posted 8 points (1-7-8) and a plus-7 rating. The second-year captain of the Orlando Solar Bears will be playing on his second pro tryout of the season, having already played one game for the Toronto Marlies back on January 17, recording an assist with the top team in the AHL.
