November 19, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Adirondack Thunder News Release
Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder announced today the details regarding their 2015 coat drive, which runs throughout the month of November, and their canned food drive, which will be held on Wednesday, November 25.
Donation opportunities return to the Civic Center at Thunder games around the Holidays, as the Thunder spearhead both a canned food drive and a coat drive, in conjunction with the Tri-County United Way. The coat drive will take place at all three Thunder home games during the month of November, on the 18th, 25th and 29th. Anyone who donates a lightly worn coat at any of these three dates will receive one complimentary silver flex ticket, redeemable for any future Thunder home game. All coats donated by our fans will be distributed to the Adirondack Vets House, the Moreau Community Center and the Family Service Association. Anyone who wishes to donate a coat during the month of November but cannot make it out to one of our three games can do so at the Thunder offices prior to November 29.
The canned food drive will be held on Wednesday, November 25 as the Thunder host Elmira. Anyone who brings a non-perishable food item will receive one complimentary silver flex ticket from the Thunder. All items donated will be distributed to the local chapter of Salvation Army and the Open Door Mission to help feed families during the holidays. Anyone who wishes to donate a non-perishable food item during the month of November but cannot make it out to the game on November 25th is asked to do so directly through the Salvation Army at 37 Broad St. in Glens Falls or the Open Door Mission, located at 37 Lawrence St. in Glens Falls.
