Oilers Announce Partnership with Rogers State University for 2015-16 Season

TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets (NHL) and Manitoba Moose (AHL), announced on Thursday a new partnership agreement with Rogers State University.
Through the 2015-16 hockey season, Oilers' home games at the BOK Center will serve as a new platform for Rogers State University to promote its degree programs as well as its affordability and accessibility to students across northeastern Oklahoma. In addition, the Oilers will utilized their team website, social media channels, and staff to help further the RSU's initiatives.
The partnership also highlights the university's Reach Higher program, which provides an accelerated degree completion program for working adults who started college but didn't finish.
"We are very excited to announce our partnership with Rogers State University," said Steve Duffy, Oilers' Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. "The partnership will focus on promoting RSU's unique undergraduate programs, and will enhance RSU's curriculum by providing on campus speaking engagements and by offering specific internship opportunities for students."
"As Rogers State University is looking to increase awareness in the Tulsa metro area, a partnership with the Tulsa Oilers made great sense for us," stated Heidi Hoskinson, Vice President for Enrollment Management at Rogers State University. "The Oilers are an established professional franchise with a long tradition of attracting passionate fans from throughout the region. We're excited about our alignment with one of Tulsa's great sporting traditions."
Rogers State University is a four-year university located in Claremore with branch campuses in Bartlesville and Pryor.
