TRAIN WITH THE PROS AT COAL STREET
The Ice Rink at Coal Street is the place to be this summer for the best off-season instruction around - from some of the best in the business.
Dennis Bonvie knows a thing or two about battling. The former Penguins forward appeared in nearly 1,000 games combined in the American Hockey League and National Hockey League, picking up enough penalty minutes to be the sport's all-time leader in the process.
Now Dennis is bringing his expertise in the area of physical play to the Ice Rink at Coal Street.
Dennis Bonvie's Battle Camp runs from June 6-10, and features instruction on power skating, body positioning, 1-on-1 battles, correct ways to give and take a hit, puck protection, agility, balance and much more.
The schedule for Dennis Bonvie's Battle Camp is:
Mites: 5:30-6:30pm | Squirts: 6:30-7:30pm | Pee-Wees: 7:30-8:30pm | Bantams/Midgets: 8:30-9:30pm | Adults (18 and older): 9:45-10:45pm
Cost of the five-day camp is just $199, and includes a Bonvie Battle Camp Jersey.
Former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins defenseman Chris Kelleher returns to the Ice Rink at Coal Street this June to teach your little blueliner all the ins and outs of playing defense.
Kelleher's Defense Camp includes instruction on proper techniques, positioning, skating drills and puck handling.
The camp features two sessions each nigh - 6:00-7:30pm for Mites and Suqirts; 7:45-9:15pm for Pee Wees and older - and runs from Monday, June 13 through Thursday, June 16.
Cost of the camp is just $149 per skater.
