
Amerks and Knighthawks 2011 Summer Camps Now Open for Registration

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans and Knighthawks announced today that the 2011 summer youth hockey and lacrosse camps are now open for registration.
The Amerks Summer Hockey Camp and ELITE Training Camp offers children an experience that no other camp can - the opportunity to meet, interact and learn the game of hockey from current and former Amerks playing in the American Hockey League and National Hockey League. Combining these top-notch instructors with the Amerks' renewed commitment to youth hockey ensures that this will be the best all-around hockey camp experience in Western New York.
Twenty-year pro and Amerks captain Chris Taylor joins current Amerks assistant coach Jason Cipolla for the seventh annual Amerks Summer Hockey Camp and Elite Training Camp. The camps are open to both travel and house players ages 5-15 and will be held at the Sports Centre at MCC, Webster Ice Arena and Thomas Creek Ice Arena in July and August.
AMERKS SUMMER HOCKEY CAMP
ELITE TRAINING CAMP - Travel Players Only
Camp Dates: Monday, July 25th - Friday, July 29th.
FULL DAY CAMP - All levels
Camp Dates: Monday, August 1st - Friday, August 5th; Monday, August 8th - Friday, August 12th; and Monday, August 15th - Friday, August 19th.
HALF DAY CAMP - All levels
Camp Dates: Monday, August 1st - Friday, August 5th; Monday, August 8th - Friday, August 12th; and Monday, August 15th - Friday, August 19th.
KNIGHTHAWKS SUMMER LACROSSE CAMP
Rochester Knighthawks players Joe Walters, two-time NLL Goaltender of the Year Matt Vinc and All-Rookie Team selection Cody Jamieson will join camp directors Bill Warder (Boys), former NLL player, and three-time U.S. Women's National Lacrosse Team member Pam Mapstone (Girls) at the Knighthawks' Boys and Girls Summer Lacrosse Camps.
Warder will direct the Boys' Camp the week of June 27th to June 30th and Mapstone will be heading the Girls' Camp from August 1st to August 5th. The Lady Knighthawks Camp will also have current and former college stars Kate Faas, Jenna Moulton and Mandy Friend serve as special guest instructors. Both camps will be held at McQuaid Jesuit High School in Brighton. The camps are open to players ages 6-15 and campers can take advantage of either full-day or half-day instruction.
