Alaska Aces News Release
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces, three time Kelly Cup champions, have signed rookie free agent Nilan Nagy (NYE-lihn, NAY-ghee), it was announced by Aces head coach Rob Murray.
Nagy, 23, will join the Aces in time for tonight's game at Ontario, opening a ten-game road trip at 6:00 p.m. (KFQD/ECHL.TV) at Citizens Business Bank Arena. He will wear jersey #5.
"Nilan brings a large frame, valuable right-handed shot and dependable, 'shutdown' approach that projects well for our defensive approach," said Murray. "As our blueline continues to evolve and make steady improvements late this season, we're identifying players who have terrific elements that project to fit our identity, long term and it makes us excited for Nilan's potential."
