Anchorage, AK - The Las Vegas Wranglers (27-26-8, 62 Points) were defeated by the Alaska Aces (36-21-3, 75 points) 2-0 on Sunday night at Sullivan Arena. Alaska goalie J. P. Lamoureux improved to 26-14-2 with his seventh shutout of the year, stopping all 30 Las Vegas shots. Aces forwards Lance Galbraith and Luke Erickson each scored second-period goals to lead Alaska to victory. Las Vegas goalie Glenn Fisher stopped 27 Aces shots, falling to 7-5-2 on the year. Las Vegas ended the team's longest road trip in team history, going 1-6-3 over ten games. The Wranglers start a five-game home stand this Friday at 7:30 PM with Idaho. The Steelheads remain in town for a second game on Saturday night at 7:30 PM at the Orleans Arena.

After a scoreless first period of play, Alaska tallied a pair of goals less than six minutes apart. Forward Luke Erickson broke the scoreless tie with his 17th goal of the season at 3:21 of the middle period. Winger Lance Galbraith tallied his 15th of the year at 9:13 of the second period, giving the Aces a 2-0 lead.

Las Vegas returns home to host the Idaho Steelheads on March 13th and 14th at 7:30 PM at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers will play nine of their last 12 remaining games on home ice.
