ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - The Utica Comets of the AHL announced today (Monday) that five players will leave their camp, headed to the Aces.

Reassigned to Alaska were forward Danny Moynihan and defenseman Mackenze Stewart. Released from their professional tryout contracts were forwards Stephen Perfetto and Travis Ewanyk and goaltender Kevin Carr.

All will report to the Aces pending travel arrangements.

Perfetto and Carr are under contract with the Aces. Perfetto was the team's second-leading scorer with 15 goals and 33 assists for 48 points. The ironman played all 72 games for Alaska.

Carr was acquired from the Tulsa Oilers in August in a trade for defenseman Brandon Martell. Carr fashioned a 21-21-2 won-lost record with a 2.39 goals against average and a save percentage of 91 per cent for the Oilers.

The Aces begin the exhibition game portion of their camp schedule tonight (Monday) against the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:15pm at the Sullivan Arena. The Aces and Stingrays will also play Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7:15.

Alaska's regular season commences Friday, October 21 at Colorado.
