Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, take this opportunity to remind fans that Royals Radio Recon, the team's weekly coach's show, will kick off Season Sixteen of "Hometown Hockey" tomorrow night (Tuesday, October 11) from 6 to 7 pm at Jimmy G's Railroad House Sports Bar and Restaurant (152 Woodrow Ave., Sinking Spring, PA; 610-678-1177).
Tomorrow night will be a TRUE coaches-as in plural-show with Head Coach Larry Courville and Assistant Coach Kirk MacDonald hopping in the hot seats to discuss the impending kickoff of the 2016-17 season. We'll also talk with Sales & Marketing Director Dave Garson about all of the activities that are planned at Santander Arena for the Season Opener this Saturday night.
Of course, for those who can't make it out to The Railroad House tomorrow, Radio Recon will be broadcast live on iHeartRadio's streaming digital audio source at "Rumba 1340 Reading". We'll also post the audio from the show on the Royals' website (www.royalshockey.com) for those who would like to listen on demand.
Season Sixteen for the Royals kicks off this Saturday (October 15) with a rock and roll bang as the Pat McGee Band hits the stage for the Opening Night Block Party, which will be set up on Penn Street directly adjacent to Santander Arena and will kick off at 4 pm and lead directly into the pre-game activities for the Royals season opener against the Elmira Jackals (@ 7:00 pm). Fans will be treated to what promises to be the most exciting season-launching, pregame presentation in team history, and everyone will be part of the effort to take the energy to the next level with "BOOM-BOOM" sticks that will be given out to all in attendance courtesy of Reading Health System.
