
Abbott Strikes Out 14 in Dominant Performance

Lookouts' ace Andrew Abbott struck out a career-high 14 batters in the Lookouts 8-3 win over the Mississippi Braves. The southpaw now has 25 strikeouts this season which leads the Minors.
In the second inning, the Lookouts gave Abbott the early 2-0 lead with home runs by Nick Quintana and Quiny McAfee. Chattanooga would continue to put its power on display when Rece Hinds belted a 444-foot three-run home run to make it 5-0 Lookouts.
After Mississippi scratched across its first three runs of the day, McAfee hit his second homer of the day and of the season. Up 8-3, Andy Fisher shut the door with two shutout innings and four strikeouts to bring the team's total to 20 on the day.
Chattanooga now leads all of Double-A baseball with 93 strikeouts in just six games. The Triple-A Toledo Mudhens currently leads all of minor league baseball with 126 Ks in 12 games.
Lookouts pitcher Connor Phillips aims to add to the total tomorrow on Fireworks Friday presented by Mars Wrigley at 7:15 p.m.
