Saskatoon Blades News Release
The wait is over, Blade City.
We are thrilled to welcome fans back inside SaskTel Centre for our 2021 Home Opener, presented by Merlin Ford Lincoln for our first regular-season game in 575 days!
The Saskatoon Blades will take on the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday, October 2nd with a 7:00pm puck drop.
Canadian country music artist Aaron Pritchett headlines our pre-game tailgate party, which kicks off at 4:00pm.
Fans will then get to welcome the Saskatoon Blades to the arena as they arrive in style in one of Merlin Ford Lincoln's showcase vehicles. Following their arrival, the entire team will be given the red carpet treatment, giving fans the perfect opportunity to see their favourite players in person before they hit the ice!
Following the tailgate party, doors to the arena will open at 5:30pm allowing fans to come in and find their seats before puck drop.
One lucky fan will have the exclusive opportunity to take part in our first ceremonial puck drop in 575 days, marking the return of hockey. Be sure to enter into our Drop the Puck Contest and you could be our winner!
Need new wheels? You could be driving off in style in a limited edition Ford EcoSport if you successfully "Shoot to Win" in the second intermission!
We're thrilled for hockey's return to Blade City, and to welcome all of our passionate fans back inside our home. Join us in making our first game in 575 days historic and memorable!
In the meantime, feel free to visit our Frequently Asked Questions page regarding the latest COVID-19 restrictions, and the easiest ways for you to get tickets to the game!
