Amarillo Gorillas News Release

Two more Amarillo Professional Hockey Records could be set tonight when the Gorillas play in Odessa against the Jackalopes at 7 p.m.

The Gorillas could qualify for the Central Hockey League playoffs for a second year in a row and it would mark the earliest that an Amarillo team has advanced to the post season.

Hockey fans can listen to the game live on Hot 99.7 FM KBZD, beginning with Gorillas Game Night at 6:40 pm followed by all of the action at 7 pm on the Bank Of America Amarillo Gorillas Hockey Network and www.amarillogorillas.com. The voice of the Gorillas Denis J. Puska will have all of the heart stopping action.

The Gorillas return back to Bank One Jungle Ice on Thursday night when they host the Oklahoma City Blazers at 7 p.m. on AmaTechTel Night.

The Blazers are in the middle of a tough battle to qualify for a playoff spot in the Northern Conference and are out of the picture right now trailing the Wichita Thunder, Indianapolis Ice and the Memphis River Kings.

Fans are reminded that they can redeem any Friday or Saturday ticket stub at the Gorillas Hockey Office or the Civic Center Box Office only and receive tickets for that game for just $5.
