Anderson Signed to Replace Garrick

LUBBOCK – The Lubbock Cotton Kings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kirk Tomlinson announced today the acquisition of goaltender Rob Anderson to replace Rob Garrick.

Anderson, 6-0, 170-pounds played four years at the University of Minnesota – Duluth. Brett Hull also played for Minn.-Duluth before playing for Calgary, St. Louis, Dallas and Detroit of the National Hockey League.

Anderson will be looked to shoulder the weight when Symington doesn't start in the final 10 games.

"We just need a good goaltender to go with Jeremy," said Tomlinson. "We need someone to step in when Symer(Symington) is unavailable. We are looking to Rob to be that goaltender."

The Kings are at home for two games this weekend. The Kings will host the Tulsa Oilers on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. before heading on the road Saturday to face the Amarillo Gorillas. The Kings return home to play former Cotton King Joe Blaznek and the Wichita Thunder Sunday evening at 5:05 p.m. Six of the remaining 10 games for the Cotton Kings are against current playoff teams.
