Myrtle Beach Pelicans News Release
MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, in partnership with TicketReturn.com, crossed into a new frontier of ticketing innovation with the successful launch of paperless ticketing. On August 16th at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark, the Pelicans made history becoming the first team in Minor League Baseball to employ a new state-of-the-art 2D ticket scanner that allows fans to enjoy the game they love without the need for a paper ticket. This new technology makes it possible for fans to purchase and scan a ticket directly from a smart phone bypassing the need to wait in will call lines or require the use of a printer.
"Mobile ticket delivery is the technology that shows the most promise for doing away with the cost and waste of printed paper tickets - but most people have never used it in real life. A ticket to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans can make mobile delivery a reality now," remarked TicketReturn.com Vice President of Marketing Gordon Hirsch.
The use of this new technology is available to all Pelicans fans with a smart phone and internet access. The Pelicans in conjunction with TicketReturn.com will offer this free service for the remainder of the 2012 season and for years to come.
"TicketReturn.com's constant commitment to improvement & innovation doesn't surprise me and is evident with this new feature. They've been on top of their game and an industry leader for years. I'm looking forward to offering our fans an extra level of convenience and customer service with mobile ticketing," said Pelicans Director of Ticketing Zach Brockman.
If you would like more information on how to use this feature, please contact Pelicans Director of Ticketing, Zach Brockman at (843) 918-6017 or zbrockman@myrtlebeachpelicans.com.
