Cale Iorg hit a three-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to give the Erie SeaWolves their first lead of the game, and they went on to defeat the Harrisburg Senators 5-3 on Thursday evening at Metro Bank Park.  Iorg's homer came off of Garrett Mock (0-1), who took the loss for the Sens.  Duane Below (5-12) picked up the win for Erie, which is now 56-68 on the season after taking two out of three from the Sens.  With the loss, the Senators fall to 64-59, and remain one game out of a playoff spot in the Eastern League's Western Division.

The Sens took the early lead in the ballgame, getting three runs batted in from outfielder Jesus Valdez in the first three innings.  Valdez singled in Stephen Lombardozzi in the first inning to put the Sens in front 1-0, and blasted a two-run home run in the third inning to drive in Josh Johnson, and give the Senators a 3-1 lead.  Erie had scored its first run in the top of the third, on an RBI single by Brandon Douglas which brought home Bryan Pounds.  The SeaWolves scored their last run of the game in the eighth, when Billy Nowlin doubled in Brandon Jones.  Lester Oliveros earned his eighth save for the SeaWolves with a perfect ninth.  Erie outhit the Senators 10-6 in the ballgame, getting three hits from Rawley Bishop.  For the Sens, Valdez and Johnson each had two hits, with Lombardozzi and Michael Burgess contributing the other two.

The Senators now take to the road for a three-game series at Akron, a team with which they are tied in the standings.  Right-hander Ryan Tatusko (0-1, 3.38) makes the start for the Sens in game one, which is scheduled for 7:05 PM on Friday night.  He opposes RHP Alex White (7-6, 2.39) of Akron.  Radio coverage of the game begins at 6:50 PM, on 1460 AM The Ticket and www.senatorsbaseball.com.
