(Manchester, NH)---Darin Mastroianni blooped a single to center field with two outs in the bottom of the fifth in what would be the only Fisher Cats hit of the night in a 5-0 loss to Binghamton before 7,050 at Merchantsauto.com Stadium.
Jenrry Mejia (1-0), who opened the season in the New York Mets bullpen, dominated in picking up his first win for Binghamton. The 20-year old worked seven innings, walked two and struck out eight. Dylan Owen went the final two innings to complete the one-hitter.
The Mets (60-62) jumped on Fisher Cats starter and losing pitcher Rey Gonzalez (2-4) right away. Binghamton scored two more runs in the top of the fifth inning on five hits. Satin doubled home Coronado, who had singled. Satin was thrown out at the plate trying to score on a single by Zach Lutz, but Lutz scored on a double by Salomon Manriquez.
