Frisco RoughRiders News Release
FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco RoughRiders' 15th Anniversary Season continues with another historic milestone as the 8 Millionth Fan in franchise history is set to come through the gates on the club's upcoming homestand from May 1-8 at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
The RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, face the San Antonio Missions (San Diego) from May 1-4 and Midland RockHounds (Oakland) from May 5-8 in consecutive four-game series. The homestand opener is Tuesday, May 1 at 7:05 p.m.
The 8 Millionth Fan is expected on Thursday, May 3, for the 7:05 p.m. game against San Antonio. Anyone in attendance that night is eligible to be "officially" named the Riders' 8 Millionth Fan. A special contest will take place throughout the game to determine the 8 Millionth Fan and the winner of a Riders Prize Pack that includes season tickets for life and a chance to take home a big money jackpot. Other prizes will also be available for fans that night. Additional details regarding the 8 Millionth Fan Celebration will be announced in the coming days.
May 3 is also the latest installment of the Deep Ellum Brewing Party @ The Yard, the place to be and be seen for DFW's millennials, singles and young professionals looking to get an early start on the weekend. The Party @ The Yard transforms the area of the ballpark beyond the outfield wall into an all-inclusive 21-and-up party scene. For just $10 per person presale (additional $5 cover change if purchased game day), Party @ The Yard guests will enjoy incredible drink specials including $1 beer, $2 crafts and multiple mixed drink offerings, along with unique food truck offerings, live radio DJs and tailgate games. Outside of the Party, in the seating bowl, fans will enjoy Thirsty Thursday specials featuring $1 beer, $2 crafts, $3 wine (from 6-8 p.m.) and $1 Dr Pepper products all game long!
In addition to Party @ The Yard, the BIGGEST promotional schedule in baseball history continues this homestand. During Princess & Pirates Night on May 4 fans get their chance to meet their favorite princesses and pirates, and take home a free wand or sword (for the first 1,000 kids 12 and under). Once again this season, the Riders turn into Los Jinetes de Frisco for their Cinco de Mayo Celebration on May 5. Fans will dance to the music of two local mariachi bands and enjoy $2 Mexican beers while the Riders will don custom "Los Jinetes" jerseys on the field. These special jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with all proceeds benefitting CASA of Collin County. ¡SOMOS LOS JINETES!
Single-game tickets, season tickets, group and hospitality packages for all home games during the RoughRiders' 15th Anniversary Season are available by calling (972) 731-9200, emailing info@ridersbaseball.com or visiting RidersBaseball.com.
