
6th Annual Falcon Cup to Precede Friday Tilt

Springfield, Mass. - The 6th Annual Falcon Cup - a hockey game between the Western New England University Golden Bears and the Westfield State University Owls - will be held Friday, November 1 at 3:30 p.m. at the MassMutual Center. Fans are admitted for free with the purchase of a ticket to the Falcons game that night, set for 7:00 p.m. versus the Hartford Wolf Pack.
"We are proud to be associated with the Springfield Falcons and look forward to playing in a first-class arena like the MassMutual Center," Richard Lenfest, Westfield State University Athletic Director, said Tuesday. "Western New England University is a great opponent and we have nothing but the utmost respect for their school and their athletic programs."
"The Falcon Cup has been a competitive rivalry with Westfield State University," Greg Heffernan, Head Coach of the Western New England University Golden Bears, said Wednesday. "We look to forward to continuing this tradition and setting an example for fans and student athletes."

Fans are invited to the MassMutual Center in 2013-14 to watch the reigning Northeast Division-champion Falcons compete in their 20th anniversary season. Adult season-ticket packages start as low as $13 per game. To reserve your seats for the 2013-14 season, call (413) 739-GOAL (4625) or visit the team office inside the MassMutual Center from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Support the Falcons throughout the 2013-14 season by wearing red, white and blue at all the home games.
