67's Down Rangers for Second-Straight Win

Ottawa 67's News Release

OTTAWA, ON - The Ottawa 67's closed out the weekend with their second-straight win, downing the Kitchener Rangers 5-2.

Kody Clark scored the winner and added another into an empty net to clinch the win and push the 67's back into sixth spot in the OHL's Eastern Conference.

Despite giving up the first goal five minutes into the game, the 67's soon evened things up as Mitchell Hoelscher scored his ninth of the season less than three minutes later as Tye Felhaber notched his 27th of the year at near the midway mark of the period.

Though a Rangers goal would tie things up once again before the first period was over, Clark's 17th of the year put Ottawa back in front with less than four minutes remaining in the second. Cascagnette would also score into an empty net to add to the lead.

Olivier Tremblay made 28 saves to pick up the win while Kitchener's Mario Culina made 21 saves for the Rangers.

The 67's are back on the road to end next week with games in North Bay (Thursday, 7 p.m.) and Hamilton (Friday, 7:30 p.m.) before finally returning home to host London next Sunday (2 p.m.).

GAME NOTES

Tye Felhaber has goals in back-to-back games, both wins for Ottawa.

Defenceman Hudson Wilson was in the lineup Sunday despite taking a puck in the face against the Knights on Friday.

After Sunday's game, the 67's have nine regular season games remaining, including four at home.

67's single-game tickets start at $12 and are available at Ottawa67s.com/Single-Game-Tickets, by calling 613.232.6767 or in person at The Box Office at TD Place. All minor hockey players part of the 67's Prospect Program get in for FREE.
