2012 Rockland Boulders Baseball Clinics Powered by Frozen Ropes

(Ramapo, NY) - The Rockland Boulders announced today that they are teaming up with Frozen Ropes, led by Tony Abbatine, to host two sessions of baseball clinics at Provident Bank Park this summer. The first session will run from Monday, July 16th to Friday, July 20th and include a Boulders game on July 17th. The second session will run from Monday, July 30th to Friday, August 3rd and include a Boulders game on August 1st.

"World class instruction at the best newballpark in the country is the perfect combination for a baseball camp," noted Abbatine, who serves as player development consultant to several Major League Baseball teams as well as the camp director and founder of Frozen Ropes.

The clinics will focus on hitting, pitching and the fundamentals of the baseball. It will be led by the experienced staff of Frozen Ropes, but will include instruction from Dave LaPoint, former New York Yankee and current manager of the Rockland Boulders, and Damian Rolls, former Tampa Bay Devil Ray and current hitting coach of the Rockland Boulders. In addition, current Boulders players will be on hand throughout the weeks.

"The Lower Hudson Valley along with Bergen County, New Jersey has a passionate and active group of youngsters playing baseball," said LaPoint. "We want to share our expertise and experience with the next generation of high school, college and Major League baseball players."

Boys and girls ages 7-to-12 are welcome to sign up. The cost per child is $185 per week and includes lunch plus four tickets to a Boulders game. The sessions will run daily from 9AM to 1:30PM except on July 17th and August 1st when the children will attend a Boulders game scheduled to start at 11:30AM.
