Quebec 8, Worcester 3
The Capitales scored five runs in the eighth inning to take a 3-3 tie and turn it into an 8-3 win over the Worcester Tornadoes on Wednesday. Quebec scored all five runs without the help of a single extra-base hit. SS Jeff Helps got the inning started with a single, scoring the frame's first run when DH Rene Leveret batted him in three batters later. Leveret tied for the team- and game-high in hits, going 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI, raising his season average to .258. Worcester CF Jerod Edmondson hit a two-out, two-run homer in the third inning. But the Tornadoes had a tough time putting hits together the rest of the night, totaling only six base knocks on the evening against Quebec pitching.
