Green Bay Blizzard News Release
The 2008 Blizzard schedule has been announced by the arenafooball2 league office in Chicago, IL. The Green Bay Blizzard will host a rematch of the 2006 ArenaCup on Sunday March 30th at 1:30 PM against the Spokane Shock. Spokane has never ventured to Green Bay in team history. The home schedule will also highlight a regular season home finale vs. the Louisville Fire, the third straight season of such an occurrence. On July 28, 2006 vs. the Louisville Fire, the Blizzard captured their first ever division title on a last second missed field that catapulted the Blizzard to ArenaCup7.
The Blizzard will also welcome three new teams to the American Conference Midwest Division. The Iowa Barnstormers and the Lexington Horsemen will play their inaugural seasons in 2008 and returning to the af2 will be the Peoria Pirates who played their last season in 2004 after making two appearances in the ArenaCup in five seasons. The Quad City Steamwheelers and the Louisville Fire will remain in the division.
