Twisters Release 2008 Schedule

(North Little Rock, AR) - The Chris Siegfried era will begin for the Arkansas Twisters on Saturday, April 5th at Oklahoma City as part of the 2008 schedule that was released Wednesday by the arenafootball2 league office.
"We are extremely pleased to have the schedule in place featuring great traditional rivalries with teams such as Bossier-Shreveport, Tulsa and Oklahoma City," states Twisters President Jack Lankford. "When the schedule is in place that means Arkansas Twisters football is just around the corner."
The Twisters' 16 game schedule features eight home games and eight road games to be played throughout the af2. Arkansas will host its home opener at Allstate Field at Alltel Arena on Friday, April 11th against the defending af2 champion Tulsa Talons. The Twisters home schedule will see Arkansas hosting Amarillo in its other April game. Arkansas will also play Oklahoma and Corpus Christi in May. The Twisters' schedule also features two June home games; the first against Lubbock and the other against the expansion Iowa Barnstormers, coached by former Twisters coach John Gregory. The month of July will feature two home games in the final two weeks of the season against Bossier-Shreveport and Texas.
"Once again we look at a very challenging but competitive schedule," says Twisters General Manager Dick McDonald. "Obviously there are still the natural rivalries and a few new teams we haven't seen before."

The Twisters are offering two (2) free roundtrip airline tickets with the purchase of four (4) season tickets.
