Monday Night Football Comes to Amarillo

The Amarillo Dusters unveiled their 2008 af2 schedule today, which features the first-ever Monday Night Football Game in Amarillo on July 21st against arch-rival Lubbock Renegades.
"We're excited to bring Monday Night Football to Amarillo for the first time ever," said Dusters Vice President Joe Morgado. "Our other seven games are all on Saturday nights, which is ideal for our fans. Each game will be a great experience, and we will be announcing our promotions and theme nights in the next few weeks."
The 2008 home opener will pit the Dusters against the Central Valley Coyotes, who appeared in the 2007 playoffs. The Dusters will begin the 2008 campaign on the road on March 29th against the defending Arena Cup Champion Tulsa Talons.
"There's no place I'd rather be on March 29th than Tulsa, Oklahoma," said Dusters Head Coach Chris MacKeown. "They won the Arena Cup in 2007, and they'll be raising their championship banner that night. It's a great test for our players. We want to play the best of the best."
