Fresno Falcons News Release

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons have already drawn a single season record 197,231 fans this year and expect to break the 200,000 barrier for the first time in team history on Tuesday, Apr. 2, when they clash with the Long Beach Ice Dogs at Selland Arena at 7 p.m.

The organization will keep track of the fans entering the arena on Tuesday when the doors open at 6 p.m., and the 2,769th person through the turnstiles will be lucky fan number 200,000. That fan will be awarded a Falcons jersey reading "200,000th Fan" on the back and receive other souvenir prizes. They will also be introduced and honored on the ice during the ceremonial puck drop prior to the game.

The Falcons are averaging the second most fans in the WCHL, drawing 5,976 per game through 33 home dates at Selland. They return home to begin a three-game home stand after dropping a pair of games in Colorado to the Gold Kings this past weekend. Their magic number to clinch third place in the Southern Division is still two.

Tickets are still available for Tuesday's contest as well as their final two regular season home games on Friday and Saturday, Apr. 5 and 6, against the Idaho Steelheads and San Diego Gulls, respectively. Tickets may be purchased at the Selland Arena Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, and online at www.ticketmaster.com.
