Bombers Clinch First Ever Division Crown

5-0 home win on Fan Appreciation Night sets stage for Northwest Division Semifinal series against intrastate rival Cincinnati The Dayton Bombers (40-20-12) secured the first division title in the franchise's 11-year history as a result of a 5-0 victory over the Toledo Storm in front of 4,424 fans at the Nutter Center on Fan Appreciation Night.

The Bombers' win on the last night of ECHL regular season play gave the team the #1 seed in the Northwest Division. The Bombers will have home-ice advantage against the #4-seeded Cincinnati Cyclones in an intrastate, best-of-five Northwest Division Semifinal Kelly Cup Playoff Series that will begin with Game One on Wednesday, April 3 (7:00 p.m.) at the Ervin J. Nutter Center.

Jason Sessa scored two goals for the Bombers, while Bill McCauley and Ryan Vince each collected a goal and an assist. Andrew Williamson opened the scoring for the Bombers with a tally against his ex-mates 4:53 into the first period. Goalie Karl Goehring notched his second shutout of the season with a 19-save effort. The Bombers had 57 total shots.

The Bombers will host the Cincinnati Cyclones in Game One of a Northwest Division Semifinal Kelly Cup Playoff Series this Wednesday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Nutter Center.
