13 Former Grizzlies on NHL Opening Day Rosters

West Valley City, Utah - 13 former Utah Grizzlies are on NHL rosters representing 10 teams as the league opens action tonight with three games.
Former Grizzlies defenseman John Erskine (Washington) will be playing tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks as they raise their 2013 Stanley Cup Champion banner at 6 p.m. on NBC Sports Network.
Three former Utah Grizzlies (Trevor Daley, Dan Ellis, and Ray Whitney) will be in action with the Dallas Stars as they open their season against Florida on Thursday at 6 p.m. on the NHL Center Ice Free Preview, which will air from October 1-19.
Utah native Trevor Lewis opens up the season for the Los Angeles Kings as they take on the Minnesota Wild, which have two of their own former Grizzlies in Keith Ballard and Zenon Konopka. That game starts at 6 p.m. Thursday on NHL Center Ice.
It is also the first time that Victor Bartley (2009-10) will be on an opening day roster as the Nashville Predators go up against St. Louis on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on NHL Center Ice.
