California Native Among Three Assigned by Worcester to Bulls

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that their AHL affiliate, the Worcester Sharks, assigned goaltender JP Anderson, defenseman Kyle Bigos (BIG-ohs) and center Chris Crane to the Bulls.

Anderson, 21, joins the Bulls fresh off of finishing his fifth season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The 5-foot, 11-inch 185-pound native of Toronto, Ontario went 26-21-5 with a 3.31 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage with the Sarnia Sting in 2012-13. Anderson's best season came in 2010-11, when he led the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors to a conference title and a berth in the OHL final, where they lost in seven games to the Owen Sound Attack. That season, Anderson went 38-10-1 with a 2.36 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage. He was named to the OHL First All-Rookie Team in 2008-09 and won the Dave Pinkney Trophy for Top Team Goaltending in 2010 and 2011.

Bigos, 24, enters his first year of professional hockey, after completing four years at Merrimack College. The 6-foot, 4-inch, 235-pound, native of Upland, California was named alternate captain of Merrimack in 2012-13. He finished with 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) in 30 games. In 2010-11, the fourth-round draft pick of the Edmonton Oilers helped lead Merrimack to an NCAA berth. In 133 career collegiate games, Bigos totaled 47 points (14 goals, 33 assists) and 457 penalty minutes.

Crane, 21, played eight games with the Worcester Sharks last season after finishing his three-year career at Ohio State University. The 6-foot, 190-pound, native of West Chester, Ohio, was drafted by San Jose in the seventh round (200th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. His best season came in 2011-12, when he tied for the team lead with 24 points (14 goals, 10 assists) in 35 games. In 110 career collegiate games, Crane totaled 43 points (24 goals, 19 assists) and 136 penalty minutes.
