
10 Hawks Invited to NHL Camps

Portland Winterhawks News Release
Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club is proud to recognize 10 players eligible for the 2023-24 season who have been invited to NHL training camps this month.
Five forwards, four defensemen and one goalie will depart this week for rookie camps, and several will remain with their NHL clubs for main camp soon after. Five players have been drafted by NHL clubs, while five more have earned invitations after strong showings during the 2022-23 season. View the full list of Winterhawks attending NHL camps below.

Marek Alscher, 19, and Chaz Lucius, 20, have each signed entry-level contracts with their NHL clubs, but both maintain their junior eligibility and can be assigned to the Winterhawks for the upcoming season at their team's discretion. Luca Cagnoni, Josh Davies, Gabe Klassen, Jack O'Brien, Carter Sotheran, Jan Špunar, James Stefan and Ryder Thompson have yet to sign professional contracts and are likely to return to Portland for the 2023-24 campaign.
In addition to this year's Hawks attending camp, 2023 graduate Robbie Fromm-Delorme will attend his first NHL camp after earning an invite from the Vegas Golden Knights.
