2016 Logger Nick Raquet Makes MLB Debut with Cardinals

September 9, 2025 - La Crosse, Wisc. - Just two days after 2018 Logger Christian Roa debuted with the Miami Marlins, a member of the 2016 La Crosse Loggers, Nick Raquet, debuted with the St. Louis Cardinals by tossing a scoreless inning. Raquet is the 34th former Logger to make it to the Major Leagues. Raquet was a workhorse for the Lumbermen during the summer of 2016, appearing in 12 games (10 starts), going 4-4 with a 2.23 ERA while striking out 62 batters in 64.2 innings pitched. September 9, 2025 - La Crosse, Wisc. - Former La Crosse Logger Christian Roa made his Major League debut on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Roa is the 33rd former Logger player to reach the Major League level and also the 36th former player to debut this season which is a Northwoods League record. Roa, who played collegiately at Texas A&M University, played for the Loggers in 2018. He was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2020 MLB draft by the Cincinnati Reds. August 11, 2025 - La Crosse, Wisc. - Clinching the first half playoff spot in the Great Plains East, the Loggers hosted the second half winners in the Duluth Huskies for Game 1 of the 2025 Northwoods League Playoffs.
