Nailers Announce 2025 Protected List

June 9, 2025 - WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have announced their 2025 Protected List. June 3, 2025 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed goaltender Maxim Pavlenko to an American Hockey League contract for the 2025-26 season. Pavlenko backstopped his home country of Kazakhstan in seven games at the 2025 IIHF World Championship. He earned a 30-save win in his tournament debut, Kazakhstan's only victory of the 2025 competition. June 2, 2025 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have hired Brad Malone as an assistant coach. Malone spent 13 years as a professional hockey player, suiting up in 552 AHL games as well as 217 NHL contests. This past season marked his first foray into coaching, taking on the role of Player Development Coach with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. May 23, 2025 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Brayden Edwards to a two-year American Hockey League contract starting in the 2025-26 season. Edwards, 20, just concluded a four-year junior career in the Western Hockey League.
