Cougars Select Goaltender Taylor Gauthier 9th Overall

May 5, 2016 - Prince George, B.C. - With the ninth overall selection in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft the Prince George Cougars have selected goaltender Taylor Gauthier (Calgary, AB). Gauthier, an Alberta Cup champion, was named the Top Goaltender of the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League (South) in each of the past two seasons. His record this season was 15-1-3 with a .948 save percentage, a 1.22 goals-against-average and seven shutouts. Cougars 50/50 Society Makes Two Huge Donations to Local Hockey Organizations

April 28, 2016 - Prince George, B.C. - In the first two years of the New Ice Age, the Prince George Cougars 50/50 Society has donated over $105,000 towards two local hockey groups. Over $65,000 has been donated to the Cariboo Cougars of the B.C. Major Midget League while over $40,000 has been given to the Prince George Minor Hockey Association.
