December 30, 2025 - CRUNCH READY FOR 2026
The Syracuse Crunch closed out the 2025 portion of their schedule with two games on the road against the Laval Rocket in Week 12.
Syracuse dropped the first game out of the Christmas Break, 4-3, in a shootout on Saturday. Both teams overcame deficits in regulation, but neither team scored in a frenetic overtime. Laval outscored the Crunch, 3-2, in the shootout to earn the extra standings point. In the rematch on Sunday the Rocket picked up a 4-2 win.

December 28, 2025 - SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch were defeated by the Laval Rocket, 4-2, this afternoon at Place Bell.
The Crunch move to 17-11-1-1 on the season and 1-1-0-1 in the eight-game seasons series with the Rocket.
Crunch goaltender Ryan Fanti turned aside 15-of-19 shots faced. Kaapo KÃähkÃönen earned the win putting a stop to 31-of-33 in net for the Rocket. Syracuse was held scoreless on two power play opportunities while Laval converted on both of its man- advantages.

December 28, 2025 - SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled defenseman Max Groshev from the Syracuse Crunch, Vice President and General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today. In addition, defenseman Steven Santini has been reassigned to Syracuse.
Groshev, 24, has played in 27 games with Syracuse this season, recording one goal and 12 points with a plus-8 rating. The 6-foot-2, 196-pound Groshev leads all Crunch defensemen for points, assists (11) and shots on goal (50) while ranking tied for second for plus/minus.

Additionally, the Syracuse Crunch have acquired defenseman Wyatt Newpower from the Iowa Wild in exchange for future considerations.
