January 30, 2026 - SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch were edged by the Laval Rocket, 2-1, in overtime tonight at the Upstate Medical University Arena. After giving up the first goal, Mitchell Chaffee got the Crunch on board late in the first period. The teams remained tied through regulation and went to overtime where Laval scored in the final minute. Syracuse Crunch Goaltender Brandon Halverson Launches Halvy's Saves for Recovery

January 30, 2026 - SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse Crunch goaltender Brandon Halverson has launched Halvy's Saves For Recovery fundraising program benefiting alcohol and drug recovery programs at Helio Health. After losing his brother, Justin, in January of 2023, Halverson wanted to give back to the Syracuse community in a meaningful way. For every save he makes this season, Halverson is donating $1 to Helio Health to support programs for alcohol and drug recovery. Halverson has made 476 saves so far this season. January 27, 2026 - SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned forward Jakob Pelletier and defenseman Simon Lundmark to the Syracuse Crunch, Vice President and General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today. Additionally, the Lightning have reassigned forward Milo Roelens to the Crunch from the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL. January 27, 2026 - CRUNCH SPLIT HOME-AND-HOME SET The Syracuse Crunch split a two-game series with the Utica Comets in Week 16. The Crunch won the opening half of the home-and-home set, 6-3, at Upstate Medical University Arena Saturday night. Mitchell Chaffee (1g, 2a) and Conor Geekie (3a) led the way offensively.
